geopolitical darwinism
and if Galileo was right ,
ergo the church was wrong .!.
.
you're looking down on Earth :
.
you see the monuments of civilizations :
streets , bridges , skyscrapers , stadiums and so forth
.
you wonder ,
how are they organized ?
how have humans organized themselves for such grand works ?
.
maybe humans are organized
copying animals , the animal kingdom .
in that sense ... you could perceive
the arteries of societies pulsating
providing freedom
for the individuals to build proudly on their fortunes
.
.
reality on the ground ,
from Libya over Syria to Yemen , Afghanistan and Iraq
- to just point one region -
tells you
that to simply imagine a pyramid ,
call it a natural law
to apply simply the rule of the strongest or lucky
and its intrinsic magic in providing natural progress
doesn't work for humans ,
humane humans .
.
.
.
for instance billions of people invested , hedged , engaged
by will and love
against any form of social humanitarian collapse or oppression
lest slavery , human trafficking or sexual abuse
despite and against any logic of any stronger
but for the beauty of life's pure only
.
maybe humans would organize societies , cities , nations
copying the kingdom of the plants rather .
infrastructure as a trunk ,
as big trees allowing through the efficiency of the whole
to build on culture and tradition
.
maybe they would opt for rules
that outlive their own kind ;
for constitutions as old as Cedars
and institutions as cherished as Pohutukawas
.
inspiring in their shadows for the individuals to cooperate
and build streets , bridges , skyscrapers
and stadiums as glades for the communities to meet
in the jungle called city
.
indeed , maybe it's not arteries you saw ,
but wood vessels providing stability
and with it - crucially - freedom for the individuals
to be able to build with love and energy
on their common fortunes
.
you're looking down on earth :
true , there is a forest of countries !
.
