We lived in peace until the end of earth. For the next million of years. Because science told us that we're equal in our differences and we stopped thinking, that resources are rare to a point we have to fight over them. Think, meaning we can still see it possible, our incapacity of idiotic humans being. Regularly disappointed we are at our or your incompetence to achieve a violence free trade ; giving and taking.
Yet never have we given in. Don't we produce - according to our central administration's statistics - enough electricity, weed and mobile phones that there should be enough for everyone ? Nature putting us regularly in front of new challenges and tastes changing regularly as well to not say daily, we need to organize ourselves better, even better, or what's the point to abdicate to violence and live with the limits of law enforcement in this over-populated world, it is, if there isn't ?
What's the point of being organized globally, federally as the UN and its sister and daughter organisations try, if we don't try harder, that is live with less, if not more is around. No sense there is to justify your theft with arms when sixteen billion eyes to not say eight billion brains thinking and around are as well. Only an idiot believes a murderer's argument of his or her or their incapacity to solve the issue otherwise. That was at least the secret we lived after since hence. Nothing against hitting somebody on the head, but stabbing from behind was just in no circle no more a justifiable defensive attack, as we say since hence and wait and smoke and wait and play backgammon and chess to follow when needed the occasional work or maintenance there is to do, which is to say there is a lot of mouths to feed but many hands available as well. Wait and live with the fact that humans always want more. Share instead and trade our ways to more fortune. And if we can't, if a lose-lose is all we get, then for as long as nobody dies or gets stolen from, there is always a third who happily wins - as both feared but both can count on as well, hitting that lucky stupid on the head.
Our religions renounced to absolutism, especially when it comes to the question of death and the origins of life, the most absolute or tyrannic moments there is. The spiritual communities accepted that their dogma is as wrong as the other religions' ones or at least can't be righter than the best ones - nobody everything knowing. Religious leaders lived up to overwhelming truth in science and to the fact that we probably only have one life and one planet - which has never stopped us from thinking in a circle though. Science as well stopped to dream away tyranny for the promise of sins, but has lived up to the fact ( again ) as well, that every single being has its intrinsic rights and freedoms that can't be cut but that must always be encouraged so for the animal to not say human to aspire to a healthy and long life with family, friends and neighbours. Fun the time being, waiting for the sun to explode or somebody to invent a rocket to bring us far, killing eachother in soccer and tennis while such living up to tribal elements under the UN's empire.
It can't be that only the good people from the rich world can travel to the beautiful places in this world, we honestly told ourselves to have the poor people elevated to a descent level of life standard as well. No matter how criminal they had turned under the coercive extortion of Wall Street's hugely successful neoliberalism protected by Moscow's realism. We all were able to enjoy the good sides of life again and to get to known to this globe and its people, fauna and flora, traditions and cultures, corners and rivers, bridges and towers... and waterfalls, of course, don't we all want to have a picture of that waterfall on our fantastic mobile phones with us, holding that joint in the hand, taking a deep fresh breath : peace .!. ( some at least, tastes still not discussed being, at least officially ).
