false positive ( legalize it )

from bitter beginnings and sweet ends

As a regular weed smoker you live at the margins of society, always between legality and illegality. It makes you nuts. why : legalize weed.

I think only a minority will pick up smoking regularly. after all, just like alcohol it can be a pretty challenging drug that creates pressure on the herb smoker who can easily lose it, mentally, financially, socially. But - unlike with alcohol or nicotine or other substances that can be legally abused - the problem in that lies that with illegality there isn't an open culture of smoking weed, especially mental institutions aren't up to the task of helping a pot-smoker-gone-nuts.

It takes a strong mind able to say 'no' to bad ideas emerging high on weed. And there is only an underground culture of smoking that guides a weed smoker in the trip, that tells what kind of ideas can emerge when high, what kind of trips can be permitted and with what kind of thinking caution should guide. At the moment it's more or less in secret with all the delusions that come with living at the limits to the underground from a distorted perception of what a witch is over a realistic meaning of black or white magic and whether a cleric has to be pedophile or not.

To be honest I think all people should try the herb for a while to test whether they have psychological issues somewhere. Alcohol does the same job, that said, weed can open your mind and can bring new sensations to your soul. It's hallucinogenic to do sports high on marijuana or to play an instrument or to be otherwise creative. I can only recommend to take the risk to see whether you don't hide a psychotic behaviour due to past traumas. The parents, or environment in general, still can be blamed for an education that lead to a latent schizophrenic personality leading to an actual schizophrenia on herb.

When weed is legal, the discussion about schizophrenia will be more honest, shrinks will learn faster. It'll be easier to help the lost weed-smoker. Today non-smokers, especially alcoholics, have as well psychological or financial or other problems and need help and support. We shouldn't deem cannabis responsible for social or psychological issues that stem from other sources. I strongly believe the herb doesn't make you schizophrenic, it only amplifies - depending on the ritual - existing psychoses or psychotic behaviour already present - and so I pretend - it can also lead to their recovery, rather unlikely with alcohol, that is at least with the culture of drinking alcohol and general rituals involving a shot of alcohol or glass of wine present these days.

.

I'd say psychiatric science should level up rather than forbidding cannabis. Shrinks too often refuse to heal their smoking patients out of prejudice about sinners, simply said, satisfying themselves with a dependence on the medication and on the discipline of the patient to stop the cannabis. Two wrongs which don't give a right, only exceptionally. First of all it's hilarious to count on the discipline of a person with psychic issues and secondly today's medication in the short run only work on the symptoms and help prevent further psychological attacks or mental decompositions and only in the long run - thanks to the absence of a period of attacks - the brains can heal.

If the patient refuses to give up his or her delusions, he or she will need medication for the rest of her life and nothing guarantees that will not stop taking them and fall back to old bad smoking habits and have another attack.

I think a better accompaniment of a potsmoker-gone-nuts - and not just pot-smoker - is needed so can differentiate again reality and delusions. Deep and long talk to understand the logic of thinking of the patient in order to see the pattern that leads him or her to go delusional again and again and worse, act on the delusion. This talk can easily be achieved by smoking a joint with the patient in the garden of the psychiatry and be curious. Today's shrinks analyze weed-smokers when they're on desintoxication, hence highly irritable and in despair for the next joint rather than talk with a semi-government official. Plus, the shrinks are occupied with a hundred other patients, thus rarely truly curious other than looking for signs of another attack.

I believe with discussions the delusions can be talked out of a herb-smoker or alcoholic because a person high on weed likes to follow logic, and if you come with a better logic, then a weed-smoker has him- or herself persuaded. But for that you need science about weed and not prejudice based on science based on the interdiction of weed. And there lies I think one of the three true issues about today's and future herb politics, that is the shrinks today don't really have a more accurate view of this world than many weed-smokers. Therefore they often fail in being able to persuade a delusional cannabis consumer, that he or she is schizophrenic or psychotic and lost the feet from the ground, from reality and is endangering him- or herself and possibly others with their behaviour.

The trick today's shrink lack too often is to differentiate the worldview of the patient, which the shrink isn't allowed to be so arrogant to judge, religious freedom obliges, from the possible actual dangers the patient sees, deducted from a delusional worldview as it is presented and not based on the fact that one is patient and the other shrink, ergo if somebody's worldview has an error, must be the patient's ( It is assumed official religious worldviews aren't delusional ... ) It takes patience and modesty : a solid argumentation line from a shrink to be able to demonstrate the probabilities of the delusions of a person true respectively false and thus nefast being, leading the potsmoker - or alcoholic - to walk in an ever-smaller turning vicious, unhealthy and expensive circle. Delusions, traumas, ways of thinking, turns being taken in the mind and emotions when following daily rituals, which a patient forbidden to smoke the herb is unlikely daring to communicate a shrink surrounded by securitas, considering is already blocked in accessing them even at peace, isn't that the issue. The shrink needs to know the patient so can elaborate to her or him how an egomaniac or megalomaniac trip as weed or alcohol or cocaine or an overdose of endorphines generally can produce, is only a dream-like construct based on fantasy and facts, memory and logic, and considering everything, probability based on low probabilities or worse, lies, with all that implicates in shame and frustration when "waking up" from having been "woke", usually when the weed respectively alcohol or cocaine has run out.

.

I think you turn nuts consuming the herb because you have been badly tuned in life before you smoked and the THC only laid bare the lies you actually believe - de facto - and the hopes and wishes you have secretly or openly - and never have said 'no' to or 'yes' to deliberately. Under the pressure of the THC infusion logic follows the way of smallest friction respectively highest benefit, that is, always a question of respect, of intrinsic believe.

Some go nuts directly, i'm not sure why. Most that do go nuts develop a personality-shift only over time together with their present ( secret ) psychotic behaviour, which can be drinking alcohol. Therefore it's not like psychological problems fall from heaven, often their announced. Most of the time the herb-smoker would refuse though to see that isn't in control of his or her weed consumption anymore, that the THC initiated reality or delusion - and if it's only by the ritual of rolling a joint more than the actual THC that leads a smoker to enter a delusion - has taken over and will lose first everything before is forced to have him- or herself helped.

This is the second real concern that has to be worked on : make sure a weed-smoker is always open to the discussion that might have to stop for a month or reduce the consumption for a while and take medication... or live with the consequences, lose everything and see social benefits reduced to a strict minimum ...or end up in prison or dead because is going to do something stupid. Indeed, nothing prevents the artistic innocent creative acts of a weed-smoker to turn violent to others under financial, social or spiritual pressure, whereby usually first a net of lies leads to financial debt and from there to spiritual guilt leading - in the delusions brought about - to social problems that want to have been learned to be handled peacefully beforehand...

Because I think what's true in Switzerland is that many if not a close majority of people think, that when you have psychological problems, especially amplified ones by consumption of the herb or alcohol, it's because you are an immature person more than that you have a mental disability : the herb-smoker trying to follow the easy road, refusing to take the tough decisions ( as they had to take and live up to ) and learn already to live in moderation and with a sense in life all can agree to or at least live with.

.

Indeed, most herb-smokers do or would do what everybody does : ora et labora, or work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep. With the small difference that in the evening it's a joint and not a glass of wine. Because most people don't have psychological issues and thus also most weed-smokers don't have psychological issues but stand on solid feet in reality.

I think all the people who develop a schizophrenia on weed would anyway go nuts in one way or the other later in their life, especially after a life-accident such as losing the job, a wife or husband, having a chronic sickness that is reducing freedom and forcing them to take a tough decision or not be able to exit an ever increasing vicious circle. Maybe you can handle it easier, when you're not addicted to the herb, but I don't believe so. If it's not weed, it's alcohol, if it's not alcohol, it's pain-relieving medication, if it's not that, it's a delusional gourou, etx. One of the main difficulties for shrinks talking to a pot-smoker-gone-nuts is that weed is illegal and such there is always suspicion and inability to talk from equal to equal, causing not all the time, but many times a weed-smoker to not be helped, distorting statistics about the true evilness of cannabis.

.

Therefore : Legalize it, legalize the herb! The promise is that pot-smokers be good citizens who won't support the violent black market no more in providing them with their drugs : they would rather buy legally at chf 1o.- chf for 1g standard weed or hashish, taxed, bio, safe and chf 2o.- for excellent weed.

You can refuse to smoke on the terrasse of restaurants or bars because it's true, a joint produces much smoke. Hashish less than weed, depending on the wind, but it's enough to be allowed to smoke outside coffee-shops, in the park, at the lakeside or just walking in the streets. Not to forget to be allowed to smoke a joint when waiting for the train at the station in the designated smoker areas because what's the point of travelling if you're not high, don't you like to travel with a glass of wine and piece of cheese as well... Herb-smokers might also want to enjoy a joint in the mountains, which shouldn't be of any issue. If you want to forbid to drive a car because weed-smokers have a lot of THC in their body, some can live with that, not all smokers can though.

The most difficult will be to persuade the dealers to vote for the legalization of cannabis. With present ideas of legalization they will lose out and so we can expect a lot of obstructing and lobbying by them to keep the status quo in Switzerland of a prohibition of the herb... Indeed, we should opt for the legalization of dealing as it is today. We shouldn't try to follow the Dutch model of coffee-shops. As well. But you should be able to certify yourself as a legal backdoor or street-corner dealer. This is the third "Knackpunkt"... It should be possible to buy directly from the producer or more critically directly from the farmer, pay them tax and be allowed to sell in small quantities to friends, neighbours, work colleagues and other acquaintances who like the exceptional quality and trust from the known seller.

Such dealers are more able to feel the state of mind and needs of the weed-smoker through the regular and friendly contact than a soul-less swiss-wide coffee-shop brand. It can such rather be assured the cannabis consumer's feet are kept on the ground with this orderly reality-check by an experienced smoker. Of course it can also lead to abuse in the form of small credits given to the poor weed-smoker needy for love, creating a vicious circle of debt, which could result in violence when with the legalization of the herb it's exactly what we want to reduce. Which leads me to my arguments above about the impossibility to talk to shrinks and police in honest manner these days.

.

"Prevention", "Therapy", "Minimisation of Damage" and "Repression and Market Regulation", nothing has to change in Switzerland's four pillar drug policy, except the repression which should be guided at the nocive elements in the streets and on internet, while the therapy shouldn't focus on getting clean - as well, an effort which is never in vain - but rather on consuming in moderation allowing to continue ( again ) to live a life, "despite" "addiction", until there is no need no more respectively is in control again or finally.

.

Because my underlying observation for the legalization of drugs is the following : Buying illegal weed isn't like buying chocolate at the supermarket. Both sinful for sure, but as said, one is illegal. Therefore there is a different bad conscious that emerges from the shame of indulging into the sinful pleasure of smoking pot : one that has to handle to be in illegality.

Some potsmokers never get over it and lose themselves somewhere - in a delusion - in the fight for legalization - as I did. Others can't indulge in a regular activity that is illegal and stop again or never started. Most, and that's what I fear most, accept that do something illegal : a small offense nobody cares for as long as you don't get caught : a game ...

They smoke in secret and act as if don't, creating a damning hypocrite corruption to not say perversy in society, the cities, villages to not say the nation. Huge through the sheer amount of herb-smokers, friends and family of herb-smokers, doctors and shrinks of herb-smokers, work colleagues of herb-smokers, police officers, fathers of herbsmokers, all agreeing somewhere that many people can enjoy some weed, some can't : don't be weak, don't get caught. A game they call being adult respectively responsible or professional : illegal isn't immoral for as long as it isn't illegitimate. A weakness I say, because changing the law not impossible nor immoral, isn't it ).

Such I consider a split has aroused in society between those who can afford smoking and keep it a secret and those who lose in the game : the well-known and well-documented patients in psychiatry but als criminals in prison, who somehow were also too weak for the game. But who are the winners? Who are those who play with the rule of law pretending, insisting, acting as if knew better than the parliamentarians ( besides the famous millionaires or billionaires we know that smoke responsibly ) ?
What kind of person does that make out of yourself over the course of the years offending regularly the rule of law for a sinful pleasure, worse, inviting or coercing others to do so as well? What kind of group of friends emerges where they learn to enjoy the illegal sins without getting caught? - Let me tell you :
Mafia. Blue and white collar criminals. All in all a lot of totalitarian stupids looking for idiots. Shallow unreliable people, who aren't caught in their actions of them against the parliamentarians, against whole society, as if we're in a big revolution ( isn't it exciting ).

Shrinks continue telling patients that can smoke weed in moderation, that they are not the police, all while telling officials, the police, with all scientific or statistical authority that weed shouldn't be legal, that it's too risky. And let's be clear, each (!) shrink tells you, and tells you by reflex (!), that he or she isn't the police, allows it anyway - as the official authority a shrink is - to the potsmoker behind the back of the police, who is officially and over their dead body trying to eradicate that habit or culture of ours, as if the shrinks took the decision to have to take the decision for the political leaders, as if would be the only ones capable (!), mentally and spiritually, socially and financially capable to take the risk to decide who can smoke and who not. An authority, a responsibility, a freedom (!) the people never gave them, but - shrinks they seem to be - they can - and which is one of the main sources for this today's extremist and toxic and sour social atmosphere we witness almost all over the world - or so I tell you.
You can smoke weed or not, but you just have to get doleful about politics and the economy if you're not actively trying to get rich through corruption. A state of the nation making it possible in theory for a psychotic populist leader to impose him- or herself- and so did to at least 51% of the Americans, waiting for the next one, even better one.

Why : Legalize it before it is too late, because yes, we won't stop smoking the herb, don't worry or worry indeed. Moderation is the key, not a pretension to be a pure society, because so was Hitler's schizophrenic or psychotic Germany and many other communities, societies, empires who have also failed in a way I would call simply pathetic, that is worth having failed, especially for the lesson to take.

.

Because have you ever thought , what these kids and grand-pa's would consume, if weed would be legal and available, and a criminal in his or her mind known to be again as such, the dealer proposing crack, silver and other high puff chemicals, you just know - as a healthy potsmoker - that you would end up with cancer and if not with cancer surely you die from something else in the scope of a year and if it's not that at least you'll lose your teeth. I smoke for twenty years now, ten years too much. I'm not saying you should smoke, as much as I say, don't make me drink alcohol, but natural it is, the herb, smooth it is and makes only aggressive who is badly educated by his or her parents respectively anyway already in the mood for it, not a gun that is going to solve the problem, but rather a tea with it.

Smoking, you can for your whole life, don't start before twenty-one, I guess the point.

Which makes five points to persuade you, make you understand, what you, maybe as well the Genevan Police, couldn't tell me, in no matter what, my sorries or age before beauty.
