one planet, one life

baseline

One planet , one life .
Or so it seems . At least to me .

It seems unlikely that life goes anything beyond a body
and that humanity could establish life on another planet .
Too impossible . At least for now .

Some dream of life on Mars . True .
Maybe soon possible .
But still under the same ephemeral sun .

So how to live with this cold reality ?

...

First of all ,
life ain't too bad .

Sure for some . Way too many .
But still . For many life ain't too bad .

And many can live with the fact that it's over
once the lights gone off .
They enjoy life the more in the present
- which doesn't though necessarily mean they don't waste it .

Why do still many believe in a life after death ( so they do ) ?
Is it so comforting ? Isn't it a form of denial ?
A psychoses ?
- please .

...

Yet believing in a life after death implies some effort in this life .
And so religious people often live a healthier lifestyle than atheists .
They can live in their perceived denial and nobody minds them
cause spiritual people are good people
who despite - or exactly because - believing to be reborn or in an afterlife
make the most ouf of ( that one ) life .

But i want to insist that some individuals are different :
they don't believe in a feel-able or perceivable life after death ,
And it's really difficult for them amongst the believers
who regularly produce injustice by refusing to look reality in the eye .

What's the point of seeking for justice beyond your life ?
Nothing against a hero , but something against a betterknower in full brainwash .
It's a fine line because we don't know what comes after death ,
at least we refuse to admit so .

...

I think though that we know exactly what happens post mortem
but it's just too gruesome to think it'll be all over .
Life is just too good .

And so will religious people die out in Europe
with the old generations and progress in science ?
I guess not .

It just makes sense to be religious or at least care for your spirituality
inline with the saying : watch out, what you wish for .!.

Maybe I'll be going to church again
when there is peace is in Syria
and when Iran and USA have accepted their differences
or when there is why not a collegial council in a united Korea .

Achievable goals today's religious communities
are nevertheless not inspired to find the universal solutions for
- inside their fatalist churches , i'm tempted to say .

...

Therefore ,
until we stop climate warming ,
  until we succeed protecting biodiversity
and not by words but by its meaning , each and every individual ,
including the one who still (!) thinks
can throw plastic cigarette butts in nature's butt ,

...i shall stay independent with all the other independents
telling ourselves that we have one life on one planet for sure :
don't waste it , don't waste others' .
